Keep an eye on the new book spinner because we are adding over 200 new books to the LRC over the next few weeks!!
Here are just a few of the new books to look out for... The video above was made by students from Bath Community Academy (Culverhay School). They spent a day at each academy in the Cabot Learning Federation showcasing freerunning and parkour. See if you can spot anywhere or anyone you recognise from 1:22 onwards! Mr Patterson runs an after school parkour club for years 10 and 11. If you're interested in joining ask him for more details. If you want to know more about freerunning or parkour we also have the following books available in the LRC. The online newspaper The Day has an article this week entitled "Hunger Games Leads to Morbid Trend in Teen Fiction". It's all about books written for teenagers becoming more and more about demons, death and disasters. Do you agree with this point of view? Is it something you have noticed? Is it a bad thing? It would be great to hear your opinions. You can add a comment below to have your say. Click on the picture to read the article. (If you aren't in school you will have to log into The Day using the password from the Learning Resource Centre link on the Hans Price Website.)
Keep an eye on the new book spinner because we have added over 70 new books to the LRC this week!!
