This is my review on the House of Secrets written by Chris Columbus and Ned Vizzini.
House of secrets is a fantasy the main themes is a relationship between the siblings whilst they face a range of different dangers after being put place into the fantasy world inside of books.
The story line in the book is about when the walker family move into a new house (christoff house). But there new neighbour isn't what they expect her to be. The walker family find themselves in a bad situation when they get stuck in book with a life threatening mission in front of them.
My opinion on the book is that it’s a very interesting and there's always an adventure or a strong storyline to follow that sucks you in. The book is addictive and you can't put it down once you've started.
JK Rowling quoted “A break-neck,jam packed, roller coaster of adventure”. I agree with this statement as there is always a up down line of adventure going on.
Within the book there are some story lines that leave you wondering such as the main one for me is how come the attic has special powers to bring things back from the dead? This part of the story was never explained.
I would recommend this book to other people at my age not really any younger as there is some violence and off putting action but the main story line is thrilling and I think most 11-14 year old will enjoy it as much as I did.
